MCRD San Diego Graduation Information:
MCRD is accessible from Interstate 5, from north or south, by way of the Old Town Avenue Exit. There are also north and southbound MCRD exits from Pacific Highway. Once on base, 'Special Event' signs will lead guests to the Parade Deck area and parking.
San Diego International Airport (Lindberg Field) is next door to MCRD. The Airport is less than a three-mile drive to the Marine Corps base gates. There are taxis and shuttles aboard the base to transport guests to the airport and hotels.
The speed limit aboard base is fifteen miles per hour. Guests should familiarize themselves with the base on Thursday to find the three exit gates. Traffic is very heavy leaving the base after the Graduation Ceremony on Friday.
